FreshCase wine

FreshCase wine

If you love your wine but hate waste, this new packaging concept from FreshCase solves a lot of niggling problems. Firstly, the 100% recyclable cardboard casing holds the equivalent of 3 bottles of wine (2.25 litres). Secondly, with its tap-based pouring facility, your wine stays fresh for up to 6 weeks without any air creeping into the FreshCase. This clever packaging concept is also 70% lighter than the 3 bottles of wine you might ordinarily lug home as part of you weekly shop.

Because of the sealed tap the case utilises, you can keep the FreshCase standing upright in your fridge, or lay it down to make more room for any other bottles you have rolling around in there. Its handle also turns into a stand for the box of wine, so that you can pour out that last drop. And you can just serve yourself up a glass of wine, whenever you fancy it, so there's no rush to finish a bottle or waste the last couple of inches that you never get around to finishing.

We got our mouths around a case of Hardys Nottage Hill Chardonnay 2008, and Cabernet Shiraz 2007 (not all at once of course). There's something quite satisfying about opening your fridge door, and pouring yourself a glass of wine from a box of wine that has the potential to stick around for a decent length of time. Waste is bad, wasting wine is sacrilege.
