Ladurée opens pop-up shop at Heathrow’s Terminal 5

Ladurée opens pop-up shop at Heathrow's Terminal 5

As stylish as a pair of Blahnik’s, a box of Ladurée macaroons have the added advantage of tasting good, as well as looking beautiful. Whilst a gorgeous pair of shoes will always have your feet walking glamourously through life, Ladurée macaroons look utterly chic, plus they make your stomach seriously happy to be alive. A little French macaroon instantly makes life taste more indulgent, and leaves your taste buds feeling as though they’ve just been on a culinary shopping trip to that place in the sky.

iLoveMyGrub tucked into a box of Ladurée’s Parisian treats, which offered up an assortment of varied flavours. We ate our way through macaroons infused with orange blossom (subtle & delicious), liquorice (not as odd as it sounds), rose (interesting, but always tastes soapy to me), and caramel with salted butter (utterly gorgeous). If you’re loving the salted caramel trend that’s appearing in lots of foods right now, get down to Ladurée for these little gems.

If you’re catching a plane at Terminal 5, and your gate isn’t about to close, head for Ladurée’s pop-up shop where they’re selling a wide range of signature treats and gifts. They make a beautiful gift for someone you think the world of, but let’s face it, there’s every possibility you will have finished your box of macaroons before the air hostess has finished the flight’s safety demonstration.

Keep an eye out for the ‘Ladurée Carrosse’ (a carriage in the brand’s signature pale green colour) at Terminal 5, which will feature 12 delectable flavours of macaroon including pistachio, vanilla and rose as well as chocolates, French candies and collector gift boxes.

The Ladurée Carrosse in Heathrow Terminal 5 will be open from 5am - 10pm every day.
