Serve this rose super chilled, and get your tongue around its decidedly strawberry notes. Some people will eternally view ice cubes in wine as a social faux pas, but we’re not swayed by snobbery at iLoveMyGrub, and we happily threw a few cubes into our wine glasses full of this stuff.
Try Fish Hoek’s rose served with mouth-watering fish dishes, such as grilled salmon with a chilli, lime and coriander crust or fillet of plaice, with roast cherry tomatoes and spinach, sprinkled with pine nuts.

This fruity little number from Fish Hoek is a good old accompaniment to steak, and those heavier dishes which require a wine with a bit of body, that can stand up to a weightier style of nosh. This Shiraz tastes very fresh on the tongue, with a good mouthful of berries too.
Fish Hoek go for the simple approach, using single grape varieties for their range of clean, fresh South African wines.

In case you didn’t know, the people at Gü have had a little sister called Frü – a moreish sister range of fruity puds, that is. These fantastic little puds make summer all the more enjoyable, although the likes of their Frü lemon cakes work well on your palette all year round.
Each box contains individually wrapped mini lemon cakes. Whilst it loses a few marks on eco credentials for the extra wrapping, the lemon cakes are perfect for serving up with after dinner coffee and give your taste buds a real zing on the lemon front.

This ground cocoa powder from Galler contains 20% cocoa butter for a silkier consistency. It makes for a great store cupboard baking essential, and also makes a proper cup full of hot chocolate. We tried it this way:
Mix two heaped teaspoons of the cocoa into a small pan and add a drop of milk, stirring with a spoon until you get a thick paste. Then add enough milk for one mug of hot chocolate and flick the heat onto low.

It’s a difficult task, finding a sophisticated soft drink to serve along side the champagne cocktails that flow through the Christmas season. Sure there are some luscious cordials around and some very adult brewed soft drinks, which I think are much the acquired taste. This year a new contender has entered the market: The Feel Good Drinks Company’s range of Gently Sparkling Juice.
Feel Good, who have been around for seven years, already produce a range of still juice drinks, 100 % juice drinks and drinks for kids.
